As we move into a new season both in the church and in light of the past year, I look forward to what will happen.
Slowly as conditions permit, I see a return to church attendance and even in greater numbers. Sometimes we don’t realize what we really want to do until we are not able to do so. So many people have said, “I really look forward to when we will be able to attend church services once again. I really miss them. The singing, the people, and our time of worshipping together.
I have too. It doesn’t seem the same to preach to an empty sanctuary. I have tried to envision where people are sitting and move to look at them in my mind. However, the past few Sundays since we have resumed in person worship services, there is so much more energy.

So many of you have watched from home during this time. We have even had people from overseas and all over the country tuning us in at one time or another. Some of my own family has been able to view the services and see me “in action”. Some of you have commented about the service and set aside the time on Sunday morning to be with us. I applaud you. It still is not the same as being there.

Norma and others have done phone contacts to check on how you are doing and if there is any need. Bobbie has sent cards to you to let you know we care about you. I have been there for anyone who would like to talk or visit by phone, text or chat. It has necessitated a new way of checking up with you. Spiritual care has been extended to many outside our regular church family. That in itself has been a new experience.

But, now we are once again back together. The livestream will still continue, the phone calls and cards will continue and I am always available. Our ministry has evolved and expanded to people all over the globe. It is exciting, it is amazing, and it is worthy of praise.
